Job Opportunity: Quality Control Technician for Slaughterhouses

Société Rabat Salé Temara Prestations "SDL" S.A. announces a recruitment competition for a Quality Control Technician position as part of its human capital strengthening initiative. This opportunity targets professionals passionate about food safety and the sanitary quality of meat products in municipal slaughterhouses. The position plays a critical role in implementing hygiene standards according to current Moroccan regulations.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

The technician will be responsible for daily monitoring of hygiene, sanitary quality, and cleanliness of meats. Their duties include regular inspection of slaughtering, evisceration, and cutting operations, as well as verification of staff compliance with good hygiene practices. They must also control the cleanliness of facilities, equipment, and storage areas.

Among their core responsibilities are identifying and reporting sanitary non-conformities, maintaining daily registers and reports, and proposing corrective measures. The technician will ensure complete traceability of animals and meat batches from reception to dispatch. They will actively participate in preparing for ONSSA inspections and contribute to staff awareness of fundamental hygiene rules.

Required Profile and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should hold a Bac+2 level diploma in one of the following fields: food quality and safety, hygiene and sanitation, agri-food, or biology. Previous experience in a slaughterhouse, wholesale market, or agri-food structure represents a significant advantage, although beginner profiles may be considered subject to appropriate training.

Technically, thorough knowledge of Moroccan sanitary regulations applicable to slaughterhouses is essential. The candidate must master ONSSA requirements, good hygiene practices, and HACCP principles. The ability to conduct field controls and complete regulatory documents with precision is also required.

Essential Personal Qualities

This position demands great rigor, keen observation skills, and firmness in applying established rules. The future technician must demonstrate marked responsibility and excellent relational abilities with operators and municipal services. The capacity to work in a demanding environment, with characteristic odors, low temperatures, and variable schedules, is fundamental for success in this role.
