Basic Job Information

Requirements and Conditions

Candidates must be Moroccan nationals and not exceed 40 years of age by the application deadline. Accepted qualifications include:

• Captain Long Course Certificate (CLC)
• Long Course Captain Diploma
• Lieutenant Long Course Certificate

Applicants must be graduates from a public merchant marine institution or equivalent, with minimum two years of professional experience aboard commercial vessels or in the port sector as Port Officers.

The Port Officer will be responsible for various essential port operations, including:

• Port police and port intervention
• Safety related to dangerous materials
• Nautical safety and ship-related safety
• Ship and port facility security plans
• Maritime traffic management
• Port nautical environment
• Berthing planning
• Technical and technological characteristics of ships
