The Ministry of Industry and Trade has announced a regular recruitment competition for 12 positions as State Engineer, 1st grade, scale 11. Competition Details and Available Positions

The ministry is organizing three separate competitions for recruiting 1st grade State Engineers, 2nd grade Administrators, and 3rd grade Technicians. For the State Engineer positions, the required specialty is IT development, with other specialties available for other grades, such as data science and software engineering, agro-economics, audit and management control, among others.

A quota of 25% of positions is reserved for candidates who are former resistance fighters, dependents of the nation, former military personnel, and former combatants, and 7% for persons with disabilities, reflecting the ministry's commitment to inclusion and social equity.

Eligibility Criteria and Required Qualifications

Candidates must be Moroccan nationals, aged at least 18 and not more than 45 at the time of the competition, with age exemption for civil servant candidates. They must hold a "State Engineer" diploma issued by authorized national schools, institutes, or university institutions, or an equivalent diploma in accordance with current regulatory provisions.

For candidates with foreign degrees or from accredited private higher education institutions, an equivalence decision issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and published in the Official Gazette must be provided.

Competition Process and Examination Format

The competition for 1st grade State Engineers includes a written test and an oral or practical test or both. The written test consists of a general question or multiple-choice questions on various topics related to the sector and required specialties, lasting three hours. Only candidates scoring at least 12 out of 20 in the written test are eligible for the oral or practical test.

The oral or practical test aims to assess the candidate's ability to perform duties associated with the grade, with a duration between 15 and 30 minutes.

Application Procedure and Required Documents

Candidates must submit their application file via the dedicated candidate space on the electronic portal, uploading clear copies of the following documents:

  • A curriculum vitae (CV) with a photo, including phone number, personal address, and email address.
  • A valid biometric national identity card (front and back).
  • The required diploma with specification of the specialty, and if the diploma does not specify the specialty, a certificate from the relevant institution must be attached.
  • Equivalence decision for foreign or private degrees.
  • An unconditional authorization from the administration for public sector employees or contractors.
  • A disability card or disability certificate for persons with disabilities.
  • A certificate proving status as a former resistance fighter, dependent, former military personnel, or former combatant for eligible candidates.

Additional Important Information

The application deadline is February 18, 2026, and the written test will be held on March 29, 2026, in Rabat or other cities if necessary. The monthly salary ranges from 9400 to 10600 Moroccan dirhams, commensurate with the importance of the position and the responsibilities of State Engineers in supporting the industry and trade sector.
