Morocco Ministry of Habitat seeks Head of Service in Architecture

The Ministry of National Territory Planning, Urbanism, Housing and City Policy announces a call for applications for the position of Head of Service at the Architecture Directorate. This role aims to strengthen administrative and technical expertise in urban planning and architecture. Applications are open to permanent and contract employees of the ministry who meet the specified conditions.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must be permanent or contract employees of the ministry, and must meet the following requirements:

• Be at least in the grade of First-Grade Architect (scale 11) or State Engineer or equivalent grade.
• Hold a degree or diploma allowing access to the grade of Third-Grade Manager or equivalent.
• Have at least 2 years of actual service for permanent employees, or 3 years for contract agents.

Employees currently serving as Head of Service may also apply. As an exception, employees in the grade of Third-Grade Manager or equivalent may apply if they have at least 15 years of actual service, including at least 4 years in that grade.

Required Documents

The application file, in 6 copies, must include:

• A written application addressed to the Minister.
• A resume detailing qualifications, professional background, and previous duties.
• All documents proving the fulfillment of required conditions and qualifications.
• A work plan and methodology for managing and developing the administrative unit.
• Approval from the candidate's original administration, including the opinion of the direct supervisor.

Submission Location and Deadline

Applications must be submitted to the Human Resources Division, Directorate of Human Resources and Financial and General Affairs, at the ministry headquarters: Angle rues Al Joumayz and Al Jaouz, Sector No. 16, Hay Riad, Rabat. Deadline: September 4, 2026, at 4:00 PM.

Selection Process

A committee appointed by the Minister will review complete applications and conduct selection interviews. The successful candidate will be appointed by ministerial decision. The announcement will be published on the public employment portal www.emploi-public.ma and the ministry's official websites.
