Recruitment Competition for 26 First Grade Customs Inspectors

The Ministry of Economy and Finance is organizing a competition to recruit 26 first grade customs inspectors (scale 11) within the customs and indirect taxes administration. This competition aims to strengthen human resources in external services and recruit qualified competencies to undertake fiscal missions, protect the national economy, encourage investment, and protect consumers.

Competition Participation Requirements

This competition is open to candidates meeting the following conditions:

  • Moroccan nationality
  • Be at least 21 years old and maximum 30 years old on January 1st of the competition year, with possibility of age limit extension equivalent to previous civil or military service duration without exceeding 35 years
  • Hold a master's or specialized master's degree delivered by national university institutions or an equivalent diploma in the science field
  • Not suffer from any illness or disability that could weaken physical abilities or hinder work, including venous dilation in legs, chronic conditions of the nervous system, mental or psychological disorders and illnesses, as well as throat and larynx conditions that could hinder voice emission

Application File Details

Application requests must be registered electronically via the dedicated information platform on the Ministry of Economy and Finance's electronic website, with digital documents uploaded in PDF format:

  • Copy of national identity card
  • Certificate attesting to status of resistance fighter, nation's dependent, former military personnel, or former combatant (for those possessing this status)
  • Copy of required diploma with equivalence certificate for foreign diplomas
  • Medical certificate dated less than three months attesting to absence of mentioned illnesses
  • Final authorization for civil servants and agents working in public administrations and territorial communities

The application file submission deadline is set for May 1st, 2026 at 4:30 PM.

Competition Tests and Stages

The competition includes three main tests:

  • Written Test: Multiple choice questions or questions related to missions and functions associated with the grade or economic, social, cultural, and scientific subjects (duration 2 hours, coefficient 3)
  • Physical Fitness Test: 1500 meter run (coefficient 1)
  • Oral Test: Discussion with the jury on various subjects or questions in the required specialty (duration 20-30 minutes, coefficient 2)

A minimum score of 12/20 is required in the written test to proceed to the physical fitness test, and a minimum of 10/20 in the sports test to proceed to the oral test.

Important Additional Information

25% of positions are reserved for persons possessing the status of resistance fighter, nation's dependent, former military personnel, or former combatant. For successful candidates, they may be invited to perform their duties in official uniform, with possibility of working special hours different from those adopted in public administrations. They will also undergo customs training and military training before their assignment to various customs services distributed across the national territory according to administration needs.

The administration will conduct all necessary verifications during competition stages to ensure candidates possess required qualifications to perform missions assigned to this category, particularly physical and psychological capabilities to undertake missions entrusted to the customs and indirect taxes administration.

Practical Points for Candidates

Lists of candidates invited for the written test as well as competition results will be announced via the public employment electronic portal and electronic websites of the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the customs and indirect taxes administration. A summons will also be sent to selected candidates to take this competition to the email address provided during registration, which they must print and present on competition day.
