Main Responsibilities

The position reports directly to the General Manager and involves overall management of slaughterhouse operations. Key duties include:

• Operational Management: Planning and organizing production activities, supervising slaughtering, cutting, processing, and packaging, ensuring compliance with quality, hygiene, and food safety standards.
• Resource Management: Efficient allocation of human, material, and financial resources; managing schedules, absences, and recruitment needs; training and motivating operational teams.
• Quality and Compliance: Ensuring adherence to sanitary regulations and food safety standards; implementing quality control programs; maintaining product traceability and environmental standards.
• Operational and Commercial Development: Preparing budgets, developing KPIs and reporting tools, creating multi-year action plans for production and commercial development.
• Risk Management: Identifying and assessing financial, operational, and regulatory risks; implementing mitigation strategies.

Requirements

• University degree in food science, food engineering, management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial role within the food processing industry, preferably in red meat slaughterhouses.
• In-depth knowledge of quality standards, food safety, and animal welfare.
• Advanced skills in operations management, leadership, and decision-making.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Financial management and performance analysis skills.
