A Unique Career Opportunity in Moroccan Diplomacy

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates has announced the opening of 76 Head of Service positions. This is a golden opportunity for civil servants within the ministry to take on leadership roles and contribute to the modernization of Morocco's diplomatic administration.

Eligibility Requirements

Candidates must hold a diploma allowing access to the grade of Secretary of Foreign Affairs or Attaché of the 3rd grade, and must be classified at least as Advisor of Foreign Affairs or Attaché of the 2nd grade, or in an equivalent grade. A minimum of two years of service as a permanent employee (or three years for contract agents) is required.

Current Heads of Service may apply regardless of grade or seniority. Additionally, employees classified as Attaché of the 3rd grade can apply if they have at least fifteen years of actual service, including four years in that grade.

Posts are distributed across various directorates, covering critical areas such as:

  • General Secretariat: crisis management, analysis and support.
  • General Directorate of International Political Affairs: special issues, West Africa, Arab League.
  • Directorate of Arab and Islamic Affairs: Arab Maghreb Union, GCC cooperation.
  • Directorate of the African Union: peace and security, social development.
  • Directorate of European Affairs: EU relations, sectoral cooperation.
  • Directorate of American Affairs: regional organizations, South America.
  • Directorate of Asian and Oceanian Affairs: West and Central Asia, Asian partnerships.
  • Directorate of United Nations and International Organizations: non-alignment, nominations.
  • Directorate of Global Issues: non-proliferation, migration, sustainable development.
  • General Directorate of Economic Diplomacy: multilateral economic cooperation, economic intelligence.
  • General Directorate of Administrative and General Affairs: protocol, budget, human resources.
  • Directorate of Consular and Social Affairs: passports, visas, consular cooperation.
  • Directorate of Legal Affairs and Treaties: protocol, legal affairs.
  • Moroccan Institute for Diplomatic Training: training and pedagogical planning.
  • General Inspectorate: inspector (Head of Service).

How to Apply

The application file must include: a request accompanied by the direct supervisor's opinion, a curriculum vitae highlighting qualifications and career path, and a work program proposing a methodology for managing and developing the administrative unit. Submit three copies of your file via the administrative hierarchy to the Human Capital Directorate before July 13, 2026, at 4:30 PM. Incomplete files will not be considered.
