Job Opportunity: Broadcast Coordinator at SOREC Rabat

The Royal Society for the Encouragement of Horses (SOREC) is recruiting for the position of broadcast coordinator for its television channel in Rabat. This contract-based position targets experienced professionals in television production and technical coordination within the audiovisual sector.

As a public institution under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Maritime Fisheries, SOREC has been a major player in Morocco's equine industry for over a century. With 600 employees, the organization works to preserve and develop the Kingdom's equestrian traditions through several key missions:

  • Supervision of horse breeding and improvement of equine breeds
  • Development of horse racing and management of related games at national level
  • International promotion of Moroccan horse performances
  • Contribution to rural development and traditional crafts

The equine sector represents a fundamental component of Moroccan identity and contributes to the country's international recognition through various domains from sports to traditional arts.

Broadcast Coordinator Responsibilities

Reporting to the Sorec TV manager, the broadcast coordinator will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Ensuring continuity and proper daily functioning of the broadcast channel
  • Coordinating technical and editorial teams to maintain program schedules
  • Managing daily operations for smooth, compliant, and high-quality broadcasting
  • Handling technical emergencies during live broadcasts
  • Coordinating with external technical teams and service providers
  • Managing tender calls and purchase requests for the channel
  • Monitoring equipment condition and organizing preventive maintenance
  • Ensuring compliance with procedures and operational methods
  • Producing activity reports and performance indicators

Required Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in audiovisual studies, TV production or equivalent
  • 2 to 5 years experience in broadcast coordination, control room operations or TV production
  • Excellent mastery of technical environments related to audiovisual broadcasting
  • Proficient use of broadcast control tools and transmission servers
  • Good understanding of video and audio flows with quick diagnostic capabilities
  • Effective responsiveness to technical emergencies during live broadcasts
  • Ability to manage stress in live conditions
  • Leadership skills, rigor, and strong organizational sense
  • Precision in task execution and procedure compliance
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal ease
  • Strong team spirit
