Career Opportunity for Urban Planning Technicians

The Ministry of Interior - Taounate Province - is organizing a recruitment competition for two positions of third-grade technician, scale 9, specializing in urban planning. This opportunity is part of the ministry's strategy to strengthen technical expertise within territorial administration and offers graduates in urban planning a chance to contribute to local development and spatial planning initiatives.

Competition Details and Requirements

This competition is open to Moroccan nationals aged between 18 and 40 years, holding a diploma of specialized technician in urban planning issued by one of the vocational training institutions established in accordance with Decree No. 2.86.325, or an equivalent diploma listed according to current regulatory provisions. A copy of the required diploma must be attached during registration.

Reserved Quota System

The ministry has reserved 25% of the budgetary positions concerned by the competition for persons with the status of resistance fighter, ward of the nation, former military personnel, or former combatant, and 7% for persons with disabilities holding a "disabled person" card.

Competition Stages and Tests

The competition includes two main tests:

  • Written Test: Lasting three hours with a coefficient of 4, it consists of a subject or multiple-choice questions (MCQ) relating to the tasks or functions to be performed, the competencies of the Ministry of Interior, or the required specialties.
  • Oral or Practical Test or Both: Lasting between 15 and 30 minutes with a coefficient of 3, during which the competition committee discusses various topics with the candidate, or subjects them to a practical test in the required specialty, to assess their ability to perform the tasks or functions associated with the grade in question.

Only candidates who obtain an average of at least 12 out of 20 in the written test are eligible to take the oral test.

Registration Procedure and Required Documents

The application must be registered mandatorily on the public employment website (https://depot.emploi-public.ma) during the period from February 9 to February 25, 2026 at 4:30 PM. The application must be accompanied by a copy of the required diploma, a copy of the national identity card, as well as the candidate's curriculum vitae.

Important Notes for Candidates

  • For foreign diplomas or those issued by private institutions, the equivalence decision published in the Official Gazette must be attached during registration via the portal, along with the certified diplomas specified by the same decision.
  • Candidates working in public administrations must, in addition to registering on the electronic portal, submit their participation requests accompanied mandatorily by the final approval of the administration to which they belong (human resources departments).
  • Candidates with the status of resistance fighter, ward of the nation, former military personnel, or former combatant must submit their requests through the administrations responsible for managing their affairs, in addition to registering on the electronic portal within the specified deadlines.
  • Candidates with disabilities must subsequently provide a certificate issued by the Ministry of Solidarity, Women, Family and Social Development.
  • In addition to the required documents, candidates definitively admitted to this competition are required to complete their files with the administrative documents required by regulation for appointment to public service.

Additional Information

The lists of candidates admitted to take the competition are published on the public employment portal (www.emploi-public.ma) and this publication serves as a summons to take the tests. The results of the written test and final results, including the waiting list, are also published on the same portal.

If, during the verification of participation conditions for the competition, it is found that a candidate previously declared successful does not meet one or more required conditions, they will be replaced (in order and according to merit) by another candidate registered on the waiting list who meets these conditions.

Test Location

The prefecture of Taounate province organizes the competition on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at Al-Wahda High School in Taounate, and possibly in one or more other centers to be determined later.
