State Engineer Recruitment Competition in Geographic Information Systems

The prefecture of Chefchaouen province under the Ministry of Interior is organizing a recruitment competition for one first-grade state engineer specialized in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). This exceptional professional opportunity allows qualified candidates to join a work team within an administrative unit of the prefecture or the general secretariat.

Competition Details and Requirements

The competition will take place on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at Al-Khawarizmi Technical High School in Chefchaouen, with possible organization in other centers to be determined later if necessary. The competition is open to Moroccan nationals aged between 18 and 45 years as of January 1 of the current year.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates must hold a state engineering diploma in Geographic Information Systems, issued by schools, institutes or national university institutions authorized to issue it, or an equivalent diploma according to current regulatory provisions. These diplomas must be presented during registration.

Examination System

The competition includes two main tests:

• Written Test: Duration of three hours, coefficient 4, including a general subject or multiple choice questions (MCQ) related to the tasks or functions to be filled, the competencies of the Ministry of Interior or the required specialties.
• Oral or Practical Test: Duration between 30 and 45 minutes, coefficient 3, during which the competition committee discusses various topics with the candidate, or subjects them to a practical test in the required specialty to assess their ability to perform the tasks or functions associated with the grade in question.

Only candidates who obtain an average of at least 12 out of 20 in the written test are eligible to take the oral test.

Application Procedure

Application requests must be registered on the public employment website https://depot.emploi-public.ma during the period from March 11 to March 30, 2026 at 4:30 PM. The file must be accompanied by a copy of the required diploma, a copy of the electronic national identity card, as well as the candidate's curriculum vitae.

Important Notes

A quota of 25% of the budgetary positions concerned by the competition is reserved for persons with the status of resistance fighter, nation's ward, former military or former combatant, and a quota of 7% is reserved for persons with disabilities holding a "disabled person" card.

For foreign diplomas or those issued by private institutions, it is necessary to attach during registration via the portal the equivalence decision published in the Official Bulletin as well as the certified diplomas specified by the same decision.

Candidates working in public administrations must, in addition to their registration on the electronic portal, submit competition participation requests accompanied by the final approval of the administration to which they belong (human resources departments).

Additional Information

The lists of candidates admitted to take the competition are published on the public employment portal www.emploi-public.ma and this publication serves as a summons to take the tests. The results of the written test and final results, including the waiting list, are also published on the same portal.

If during verification of competition participation conditions, it appears that a candidate previously declared successful does not meet one or more required conditions, they will be replaced (in order and according to merit) by another candidate registered on the waiting list who meets these conditions.
