The Ministry of Interior - Province of Essaouira announces the opening of a recruitment competition for two (2) positions of State Engineer, 1st grade, specializing in civil engineering. This opportunity represents an exceptional chance for qualified Moroccan engineers to join the territorial administration and contribute to local development projects.

Competition Details and Available Positions

This competition is open to Moroccan citizens aged at least 18 years and at most 45 years as of January 1st of the current year. Candidates must hold a State Engineer diploma in civil engineering, issued by national schools, institutes, or university institutions authorized to deliver it, or an equivalent diploma according to current regulatory provisions.

25% of the positions in competition are reserved for persons with the status of resistance fighter, dependent of former military personnel, or former combatant, and 7% for persons with disabilities holding the "disabled person" card.

Competition Stages and Tests

The competition includes the following tests:

• Written test: general subject or multiple-choice questions (MCQ) concerning the tasks or functions to be filled, the competencies of the Ministry of Interior, or the required specialties. The duration of this test is three (3) hours.
• Oral and/or practical test: discussion on various topics, or practical test in the required specialty, aiming to assess the candidate's ability to perform the tasks or functions associated with the grade in competition. The duration of this test is between 30 and 45 minutes.

Only candidates who obtain an average of at least 12/20 in the written test are admitted to take the oral test.

Application Procedure and Registration Deadlines

The application must be registered on the public employment website (https://depot.emploi-public.ma/) during the period from March 3, 2026 to March 17, 2026 at 4:30 PM.

This application must be accompanied by a copy of the required diploma, a copy of the national identity card, and the curriculum vitae. For foreign diplomas or those issued by private institutions, the equivalence decision published in the Official Bulletin must be attached when registering via the portal.

Important Notes for Candidates

Public administration employees must, in addition to registering on the electronic portal, submit their participation requests accompanied by the administrative approval of the administration where they work (responsible for human resources).

Persons with the status of resistance fighter, dependent of the nation, former military personnel, or former combatant must submit their requests through the administrations responsible for managing their affairs, in addition to registering on the electronic portal within the specified deadlines.

Persons with disabilities must attach to their application a certificate issued by the Ministry of Solidarity, Social Integration and Family.

The competition is organized on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at the Higher School of Essaouira, and possibly in other centers to be determined later. The list of candidates admitted to take the competition is published on the public employment portal (www.emploi-public.ma) and this publication serves as a summons to take the tests.

The results of the written test, including the waiting list, are published on the same portal. If, during the verification of participation conditions in the competition, it is found that a candidate previously declared successful does not meet one or more required conditions, they will be replaced (in order and according to merit) by another candidate registered on the waiting list who meets these conditions.
