Recruitment Announcement for Regional Monitoring Officer at SMIT

The Moroccan Society of Tourism Engineering (SMIT) is recruiting a Regional Monitoring Officer for the Marrakech-Safi (MS) and Béni Mellal-Khénifra (BMK) regions. This position is part of the Project Management Unit and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to major tourism projects in Morocco.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic steering and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Operational management of the program at the regional level.
  • Management of reimbursements and recovery from service providers.
  • Handling overdue files and implementing corrective action plans.
  • Ensuring the reliability of the IT system related to recovery.
  • Developing and managing partnerships for program beneficiaries.
  • Preparing and monitoring progress reports at the regional level.
  • Consolidation, reporting, and field alert monitoring.
  • Coordination and representation with local authorities.
  • Administrative management of provider invoicing.

Required Profile

Candidates must hold a higher education diploma (Bac+3 or equivalent) and have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role. Experience in microfinance or entrepreneurship is highly desirable. Proficiency in Arabic and French is mandatory, along with strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of the public sector is a plus.

Employment Details

The contract is a fixed-term project contract. The workplace is the regional capital (Marrakech or Béni Mellal). Salary is not specified but will be competitive. Mobility across the territory is required.
