Reopening of Applications for the Position of General Manager of the Local Development Company 'Marrakech Bahja'

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Local Development Company 'Marrakech Bahja', also the Wali of the Marrakech-Safi Region and Governor of the Prefecture of Marrakech, announces the reopening of applications for the position of General Manager of the company. This call is made pursuant to Law 17.95 on joint-stock companies, the organic laws on regions, prefectures and communes, and the circulars of the Minister of the Interior No. 5434 of March 14, 2023 and No. 3783 of March 17, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Moroccan nationality.
  • Hold a doctorate, state engineer degree, master's degree, or a higher diploma equivalent to the grade of manager (second grade) or similar index.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience after obtaining the degree, in public administration, local authorities, public institutions, or the private sector.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a position equivalent to director in public administration (for civil servants) or a similar responsibility position within Morocco or abroad (exemption possible as per ministerial letter No. 9706).
  • Adequate knowledge of modern public service management systems, high scientific skills and expertise.
  • Good knowledge of national and territorial administrative organization, laws and procedures related to investment and business management.
  • Familiarity with all commercial, financial, real estate, consulting, technical, industrial, and service operations directly or indirectly related to the company's social purpose.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure implementation and compliance with the strategy set by the Board of Directors.
  • Manage daily operations, especially financial resources and their optimal use.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of digitalization, territorial intelligence, industrial innovation, and smart digital methods in management.
  • Knowledge of tracking and monitoring applications and other modern methods ensuring transparency.
  • Rationalize company expenses and ensure proper use of financial resources, particularly for project assignments.

Application File:

  • Application letter addressed to the Chairman of the Board, accompanied by approval from the original administration (if a civil servant).
  • Copy of national identity card.
  • Application form downloaded from the public employment portal www.emploi-public.ma.
  • Detailed curriculum vitae.
  • Copies of academic degrees and a certificate proving at least 5 years of responsibility.
  • Proposed work program and methodology, as well as ways to improve the company's profitability.

Submission of Applications:

Applications must be submitted against receipt at the registry of the Prefecture of Marrakech, or sent by registered mail to the Chairman of the Board of Directors, starting from the date of publication until August 10, 2026, before 4:30 p.m.

Selection and Interviews:

Initial selection will be based on file review. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview before a specialized committee. Lists and results will be published on the public employment portal, the website of the General Directorate of Local Authorities, and at the Prefecture of Marrakech.
