Recruitment Competition for Third-Grade Customs Inspectors

The Ministry of Economy and Finance is organizing a national competition to recruit 105 third-grade customs inspectors (scale 9) within the Customs and Indirect Taxes Administration. This competition aims to strengthen human resources in external customs services by hiring qualified professionals to undertake fiscal duties, protect the national economy, encourage investment, and safeguard consumers. The ministry reserves 25% of the positions for individuals with the status of resistance fighter, nation's dependent, former military personnel, or former combatant.

Eligibility Criteria for the Competition

Candidates must meet the following conditions:

• Moroccan nationality.
• Be at least 21 years old and no more than 30 years old as of January 1 of the competition year (2026), with possible age extension equivalent to prior civil or military service duration without exceeding 35 years.
• Hold a specialized technician diploma or an equivalent qualification in one of the required specialties: Jewelry (13 positions), Chemistry and Parachemistry (12 positions), Computer Science (62 positions), Mining Engineering (3 positions), Textile Control and Quality (5 positions), Secretariat (10 positions).
• Not suffer from any disease or disability that could impair physical ability or hinder work, especially venous dilation in the legs, chronic nervous system disorders, mental or psychological illnesses.

Application Process and Required Documents

Candidates must register their applications online via https://e-recrutement.finances.gov.ma or the Ministry of Economy and Finance website www.finances.gov.ma, uploading the required documents in PDF format. The application dossier includes:

• A copy of the national identity card.
• A copy of the required diploma with equivalence certificate if applicable.
• A medical certificate issued within the last three months.
• Additional documents for public agents or individuals benefiting from reserved quotas.

The deadline for submitting application dossiers is February 3, 2026, at 4:30 PM. Applications not registered online, incomplete, or containing false information will not be considered.

Competition Tests and Stages

The competition consists of three main tests:

• Written Test: Two hours duration, coefficient 3, including multiple-choice questions or questions related to job duties and required specialties.
• Sports Test: 1500-meter run, coefficient 1, open only to candidates scoring at least 12/20 in the written test.
• Oral Test: Duration between 20 and 30 minutes, coefficient 2, accessible to candidates scoring at least 10/20 in the sports test.

Lists of candidates invited for the written test and competition results will be published on the public employment portal www.emploi-public.ma and the ministry and customs administration websites. An invitation will also be sent via email to admitted candidates.

Additional Information for Candidates

After passing the competition, recruited inspectors will be required to wear an official uniform and work according to specific schedules, different from those in public administrations. They will also undergo customs and military training before assignment to various customs services across the national territory, based on administrative needs.
