Responsibilities of the Legal Coordination Officer

The Legal Coordination Officer will actively participate in implementing racing regulations by ensuring effective coordination of legal bodies. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating racing jurisdictional bodies, including preparing meetings for SOREC commissioners.
  • Managing the registry of the jurisdictional service and archives of legal instances.
  • Organizing and archiving administrative files of racing commissioners.
  • Serving as an interface with foreign jockey clubs on regulatory and licensing matters.
  • Monitoring regulations and applying horse racing rules for optimal organization at racetracks.
  • Overseeing the drafting of race reports and validating data in the MOHR information system.
  • Following and implementing procedures related to races, with control over the deployment of jurisdictional devices.
  • Preparing notification bulletins and producing semi-annual reports on infractions.
  • Providing legal consulting to professionals and participating in awareness campaigns.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must hold a degree in law (Bachelor's +3/4 or equivalent) with proven experience in legal coordination. Required skills include:

  • Good knowledge of current regulations and ability to ensure their correct application.
  • Ability to conduct international benchmarks and manage legal documents and archives.
  • Effective communication skills and diplomatic negotiation abilities.
  • Proactive problem-solving and analytical skills.
