The Moroccan Tourism Engineering Company (SMIT) is a public company specializing in the development of major tourism projects in Morocco. It operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Tourism and plays a key role in implementing the national tourism strategy. SMIT supports investors and local authorities in carrying out large-scale projects.

Recruitment Competition Details

SMIT is launching a call for applications for the position of Project Manager (Cadre Chargé de Projets) within the Sustainable Development Directorate. This is a permanent contract (CDI) based in Rabat. Only one position is available.

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare tender documents for projects and monitor their execution.
• Ensure the deployment, coordination, and monitoring of projects led by the Directorate.
• Supervise the services of technical design offices involved in tourism projects.
• Monitor and implement support mechanisms under the Directorate.
• Launch and monitor technical studies for planning and infrastructure related to major tourism projects.
• Identify risks and constraints and propose corrective measures.
• Ensure the integration of sustainable development principles in project design and implementation.
• Coordinate with various institutional and technical partners involved in project infrastructure.

Required Profile

• Education: Architect or civil engineer (civil engineering, building, roads and networks) or equivalent.
• Experience: 2 to 3 years in a similar role.
• Languages: Excellent command of Arabic, French, and English (written and spoken).
• Skills: Rigor, organizational skills, analytical and synthesis skills, interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team and coordinate multiple stakeholders.

Experience in project monitoring and management, knowledge of tendering procedures, contract monitoring, work reception processes, and familiarity with the public sector are assets.
