Position Details and Responsibilities

The Head of the Specialized Public Prosecution Department and Legal and Judicial Professions assumes multiple administrative and judicial responsibilities, including supervising the specialized activities of the public prosecution and developing associated legal professions. The position holder works under the supervision of the Prosecutor General of the King at the Court of Cassation in his capacity as Head of the Public Prosecution, in accordance with Royal Decree No. 1.17.45 issued on August 30, 2017, and Decree No. 2.18.71 issued on July 2, 2018.

Application Requirements

Candidates must meet the following conditions:

• Be judges ranked at least at the exceptional grade
• Have at least four years of experience in head of division responsibilities or equivalent
• Judges ranked at the excellent grade are exempt from the experience requirement

Application File Composition

Applicants must prepare the following file:

• A written application bearing the hierarchical president's visa
• Electronic registration receipt
• Documents proving fulfillment of required conditions
• Standard unified form downloadable from the electronic portal of the Presidency of the General Prosecution
• A proposed work program and methodology for managing the position

Application Process and Timeline

Electronic registration is conducted through the dedicated software of the Presidency of the General Prosecution from March 4, 2026, to March 18, 2026, at 3:00 PM. All clearly scanned documents must be attached, noting that applications not electronically registered or incomplete will be rejected.

Selection Process

A special committee is formed to study applications and will proceed with the following steps:

• Preliminary selection of at most seven candidates based on submitted files
• Interviews with accepted candidates who will present their personal vision for the assigned tasks
• Interview dates will be announced on the electronic portal of the Presidency of the General Prosecution after finalizing the list of eligible candidates
