The Royal Horse Encouragement Society is a public establishment under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests. Since its establishment more than 100 years ago, SOREC has become a major player in Morocco's equine sector, overseeing horse breeding, improving horse breeds, developing horse racing, and managing games at the national level. Internationally, it contributes to promoting and enhancing the achievements of Moroccan horses.
With approximately 600 employees, SOREC works to perpetuate, preserve, and sustain the equestrian tradition of the Kingdom. From breeding to training, from sports to crafts, the equine sector is an integral part of Moroccan identity and contributes to Morocco's global influence.
