Head of Service OIF-SME and Other Sectors at AMMC

The Moroccan Capital Market Authority (AMMC) is launching an internal call for applications for the position of Head of Service for Operations and Financial Information – SMEs and Other Sectors, based in Rabat. This is a unique opportunity for current employees to advance their careers and contribute to the development of Morocco's financial sector.

Main Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Department of Operations and Financial Information, the successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Supervise the analysis of information related to market players (articles and press releases, financial publications, and research notes).
  • Supervise the processing of financial operations related to issuers.
  • Assess the relevance of identified weaknesses in the legal and regulatory framework concerning financial information and propose necessary improvements.
  • Develop action plans following information audits.
  • Supervise the preparation of notes on performed audits.
  • Participate in regulatory development.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects at AMMC.
  • Ensure the implementation of an integrated approach to controlling and monitoring operations and financial information, and work to develop expertise in the SME sector and other sectors within the service.

Required Profile

  • Higher education degree (Bac+4/5) from a recognized institution.
  • A minimum of 4 years of successful experience within AMMC.
  • Perfectly bilingual (French, Arabic) and good level of English.

Skills and Qualities

  • Mastery of AMMC's activities, environment, and regulatory framework.
  • Knowledge of market functioning, financial instruments, issuers, and advisors.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and business valuation techniques.
  • Good knowledge of accounting standards.
  • Ability to analyze legal documents.
  • Knowledge of risk analysis.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Leadership, team development, and mobilization.
  • Problem identification and resolution.
  • Autonomy, innovation, and initiative.
