The National Institute of Fisheries Research (INRH) announces the opening of applications for the position of Head of Biological Contaminants Research and Development Unit, a leadership role requiring extensive expertise and proven competencies in specialized scientific research. Essential Position Information

This role involves leading the Biological Contaminants Research and Development Unit within the Marine Environment Monitoring Division of INRH in Casablanca. The position is available for only one candidate, making the competition highly selective. The application deadline is April 10, 2026 at 4:30 PM, with the examination date to be announced later.

Primary Eligibility Requirements

This call for applications targets two main categories of candidates:

  • Permanent and contract staff working at INRH who meet the following conditions:
    • Be classified at least at the second-class administrator grade or as a state engineer or in equivalent grade levels
    • Hold at minimum a diploma allowing access to third-class administrator grade or equivalent
    • Have at least four years of service as permanent staff or five years for contract staff within state administrations and territorial communities
    • Have performed head of department functions
  • Permanent and contract staff currently performing, at the date of announcement of the division head vacancy, division head or equivalent functions at INRH

Application Procedure and Required Documents

Interested candidates must submit their application files to the Director of the National Institute of Fisheries Research in sealed envelopes bearing the candidate's name and surname as well as the position applied for. Application files must be deposited against receipt at the central registry office, Sidi Abderrahmane Aïn Diab Road, Casablanca during regular public administration working hours.

Mandatory Application File Composition

  • Application letter
  • Curriculum vitae (CV) including the candidate's qualifications, professional background overview, and positions and functions held
  • Copy of national identity card
  • Copy of obtained diploma or certificate
  • Work program and methodology proposed by the candidate regarding management of the vacant administrative unit, its development, and performance improvement
  • Approval from the candidate's parent entity with mandatory expression of direct supervisor's opinion on competencies

It is important to note that any incomplete application file, not meeting the mentioned conditions, or received after the deadline will be considered inadmissible.

Selection Process and Committees

A commission will be established to review applications and conduct selection interviews in accordance with Article 9 of Decree No. 2.11.681 of 28 Dhu al-Hijjah 1432 (November 25, 2011) concerning appointment procedures for division heads and department heads in public administrations. Notifications will be sent to candidates meeting appointment conditions with indication of time and date for selection interview.
