Job Opportunity: Director of Communication and Media Relations

The Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication - Communication Department announces the opening of applications for the position of Director of Communication and Relations with Media Actors. Position Overview

This is a high-level administrative position within the central government, governed by the provisions of Organic Law No. 02.12 concerning appointments to senior positions. The recruitment follows regular appointment procedures, with only one position available.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Moroccan nationality
• University degree at bachelor's level or higher
• Ranking as second-grade administrator or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years experience for master's degree holders, or 10 years for bachelor's degree holders
• Substantial qualifications in communication and media fields

Key Responsibilities

The director will be responsible for the following functions:

• Developing institutional public communication activities and mechanisms
• Implementing communication campaigns about Morocco for international audiences
• Supporting government communication through awareness and information dissemination
• Contributing to crisis communication planning and implementation
• Overseeing organization of the National Grand Prize for Journalism
• Managing distribution of foreign publications
• Accompanying international media in covering national events
• Accrediting and monitoring foreign press correspondents in Morocco
• Conducting media monitoring and analysis
• Verifying fake news in public and governmental communication

About the Ministry

Under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication works to develop youth, cultural, and communication sectors throughout the Kingdom. The ministry headquarters is located at Allal El Fassi Avenue - Al Irfane District - Souissi - Rabat.
