About Centrale Casablanca Foundation

Established in 2013 through a partnership between the Kingdom of Morocco and France, Centrale Casablanca opened its doors in 2015 as an engineering school of excellence. The institution trains versatile generalist engineers over three years, preparing them to become future leaders in Morocco and across the African continent. The school awards a central engineering diploma recognized by both France and Morocco, with an educational approach closely aligned with CentraleSupélec in France.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

The Chief Accountant will serve as a strategic partner to the Financial Director, responsible for ensuring proper accounting, tax, and financial management of the institution. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing general and analytical accounting operations while ensuring compliance with Moroccan accounting standards.
  • Managing tuition fee accounting, student registration processes, and other academic revenue streams.
  • Monitoring student payment schedules, delays, and collection procedures.
  • Supervising billing processes for students, academic partnerships, and institutional agreements.
  • Organizing monthly and annual closing procedures and preparing corresponding financial statements.
  • Producing financial dashboards to support management decision-making processes.
  • Participating actively in the annual budget preparation for the institution.
  • Ensuring tax declarations and regulatory compliance specific to private higher education institutions.
  • Managing banking relationships and optimizing financial flows related to student registrations.
  • Supervising and mentoring the current accounting team of two professionals.

Required Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate should hold a minimum Bachelor's degree plus four years of education in Accounting, Finance, Audit or equivalent fields. Additional training in educational institution management will be considered a significant advantage. Professionally, candidates must demonstrate 5 to 8 years of accounting experience, with preference given to those with background in private educational institutions or training organizations.

Technical requirements include comprehensive knowledge of Moroccan accounting and taxation systems, solid budget management skills, proficiency with Sage 1000 accounting software and advanced Excel capabilities, and specific experience managing tuition-related financial flows.

Behavioral competencies sought include strong organizational skills and attention to detail, discretion and confidentiality maintenance, analytical and anticipatory capabilities, and excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration with academic and administrative teams.

This position offers a full-time permanent contract with immediate start availability. The workplace is located at the Casablanca campus in the Ville Verte area of Bouskoura.
