About SOREC and the Position

For over 100 years, the Royal Society for the Encouragement of the Horse (SOREC) has been a key player in Morocco's equine sector. Under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Maritime Fisheries, SOREC focuses on breeding management, breed improvement, horse racing development, and international promotion of Moroccan horses. With 600 employees, SOREC preserves the equestrian heritage of the Kingdom.

To strengthen its veterinary genetic analysis laboratory, SOREC announces a recruitment competition for a Molecular Biology and Genetic Filiation Officer (M/F) based in Rabat.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of the Veterinary Genetic Analysis Laboratory, the successful candidate will:

• Perform identification and filiation control analyses using molecular markers.
• Ensure analytical follow-up of samples from reception to result dispatch.
• Verify sample conformity and analytical data.
• Control result quality at every step of the analytical process.
• Validate analyses and submit results for final approval.
• Participate in laboratory equipment maintenance.
• Identify anomalies and propose corrective actions.
• Ensure traceability and reliability of analyses.
• Write and update protocols and technical procedures.
• Contribute to the development of new analytical methods.
• Analyze statistical data related to laboratory activities.
• Drive continuous improvement of analytical processes.

Required Profile

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Master's degree (Bac+5) in Biology, Biotechnology, Genetics, or equivalent.
• Practical experience in molecular biology and genetic analysis in a laboratory setting.
• Proficiency in molecular biology techniques and genetic analysis.
• Ability to define and adapt analytical procedures.
• Mastery of laboratory computer equipment and software.
• Ability to diagnose technical issues and propose solutions.
• Rigor, reactivity, excellent interpersonal skills, and initiative.
