Recruitment Competition for Two Knowledge and Data Engineers at MAP

The Maghreb Arabe Presse (MAP), a strategic public institution, is organizing a competition to recruit two (02) Knowledge and Data Engineers (Statutory Scale 11). The positions are based in Rabat and are divided into one engineer specialized in Strategic Watch and one engineer specialized in Business Intelligence (BI).

Profile 1: Strategic Watch Engineer

This engineer will ensure permanent strategic watch, collect and analyze information, and implement rigorous processes to combat fake news and disinformation. Required skills include:

• Advanced mastery of strategic watch techniques and tools for verifying textual, photographic, and audiovisual content.
• Ability to identify, analyze, and dismantle national and international fake news circuits.
• Proficiency in prompt engineering to optimize information search and processing flows using AI.
• Strong general knowledge and excellent command of national and international current affairs.
• Impeccable writing skills and strong synthesis ability to produce briefing notes.

Profile 2: Business Intelligence Engineer

This engineer will collect, model, analyze, and visualize complex data to produce relevant decision-making and editorial content, and automate performance reports. Required skills include:

• Mastery of key programming and querying languages, as well as the Agency's databases.
• Confirmed expertise in BI and Data Visualization software: Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, etc.
• Excellent handling of statistical tools and advanced spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets).
• Strong analytical mind, rigor, and storytelling ability to transform raw data into clear and impactful visuals or reports.
• Ability to use generative AI to accelerate the processing and analysis of complex data.

Eligibility Criteria

• Moroccan nationality.
• Maximum age of 40 years on the date of the competition.
• No criminal conviction.
• Enjoy civil rights and be of good moral character.
• Not registered in the central disciplinary record of Public Administrations.
• Hold an engineering degree from the School of Information Sciences (ESI) or a State Engineering Diploma in Knowledge and Data.
• Professional experience in the field is an asset.

Competition Process

Applications will be pre-selected by a committee. Shortlisted candidates will take the following written tests:

• Essay on a general topic (2 hours, coefficient 2).
• Technical knowledge questionnaire (1 hour 30 minutes, coefficient 3).

Successful candidates will then have an oral interview and personality tests (30 minutes, coefficient 7).

Results will be published on MAP's website (www.map.ma) and the public employment portal (www.emploi-public.ma).
