ONHYM Recruitment: Geologist (Biostratigrapher) Position in Rabat

The National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM) announces a recruitment competition for a Geologist (Biostratigrapher) position based in Rabat, under the 2026 framework law. This is a unique opportunity for geoscientists with expertise in biostratigraphy to join a leading organization in Morocco's energy and mining sector.

Position Details

The position is for a geologist specialized in biostratigraphy, focusing on micropaleontology and palynology. Candidates must hold a State Engineer degree, Master’s, or PhD in geology or a related field (Bac+5 minimum). A minimum of two years of laboratory experience is required.

Required Skills

• Expertise in biostratigraphy, particularly micropaleontology and palynology.
• Solid knowledge of stratigraphy and sedimentary series interpretation.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Analytical and synthesis skills, teamwork spirit.
• Initiative and autonomy.
• Ability to update and develop knowledge.
• Proficiency in office software.

Eligibility Conditions

Applicants must be Moroccan nationals, aged 18 to 45 as of December 31, 2026, and hold the required diplomas from national institutions or recognized equivalents. 25% of positions are reserved for resistance members, war orphans, former military personnel, and 7% for persons with disabilities.
