Details of the Call for Applications for Head of Scientific Activities and Library Service
The Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs has officially announced a call for applications for the position of Head of the Scientific Activities and Library Service at the Mohammed VI Institute for Quranic Readings and Studies. This announcement is made pursuant to Decree No. 2.11.681 concerning the appointment of division and department heads in public administrations, and Circular No. 1 of February 5, 2019, on the conditions for applying for these positions.
Eligibility Requirements
Candidates must be permanent civil servants or contracted agents working within the ministry and meet one of the following conditions:
- Be ranked at least at the grade of Inspector of the 2nd grade or State Engineer or an equivalent grade, hold a diploma allowing access to the grade of Inspector of the 3rd grade, and have at least 2 years of actual service for permanent staff or 3 years for contracted staff, as of May 15, 2026.
- Be currently serving as a department head at the time of the vacancy announcement.
- Be ranked at the grade of Inspector of the 3rd grade or equivalent, with seniority of at least 15 years of actual service, including at least 4 years in that grade.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Preparing the annual program for scientific activities and monitoring its implementation.
- Ensuring the smooth organization of lectures, seminars, and scientific events at the institute.
- Documenting scientific activities, publishing them, and preparing reports.
- Overseeing the preparation of scientific publications and supervising their distribution.
- Managing the library, acquiring references and cultural/scientific documents.
- Maintaining and preserving library collections.
- Cataloging and classifying documents and references.
- Providing modern bibliographic research tools.
- Supervising the institute's website.
- Collaborating with similar libraries and institutions.
- Preparing an annual report on the institute's scientific and library activities.
Required Skills and Competencies
Applicants must possess:
- A higher education diploma in economics, documentation, computer science, communication, or law.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in management and administration, as well as experience in library work and scientific research.
- Knowledge of archival legislation and principles of intellectual and scientific heritage management.
- Expertise in information science, libraries, and archives.
- Proficiency in computer and office software.
- Skills in communication, negotiation, and meeting facilitation.
- A sense of responsibility, organization, commitment, and discipline.
- Creativity and dynamism.
