Key Responsibilities and Duties

The Legal Officer will be responsible for:

  • Managing pre-litigation and litigation cases, as well as amicable settlements.
  • Conducting legal studies and consultations, and ensuring legal and regulatory monitoring.
  • Overseeing legal documentation and archiving, with strict attention to case deadlines.
  • Studying appropriate procedures in compliance with current laws and preparing defense files.
  • Monitoring expropriation procedures and potentially attending court hearings.
  • Controlling judgment execution within deadlines and studying alternative dispute resolution methods.
  • Preparing and monitoring legal risk provisions and managing relationships with lawyers and bailiffs.
  • Verifying the conformity and validity of legal fees and judicial taxes.

Required Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate must:

  • Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law (Business Law, Public Law, etc.).
  • Have at least 8 years of professional experience in a law firm, legal consultancy, or legal department of a public or private company.
  • Demonstrate geographical mobility as required by the position.

Technical and Behavioral Competencies

Technical skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of law and the institutional/regulatory environment of the company's activities.
  • Proficiency with the Moroccan Code of Obligations and Contracts (DOC) and negotiation techniques.
  • Ability to draft legal documents in both Arabic and French.
  • Mastery of litigation processes and ability to anticipate their impacts.
Behavioral skills:
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (bilingual).
  • Autonomy in problem-solving, initiative, and teamwork spirit.
  • Confidentiality, openness to change, and strong analytical and synthesis capabilities.
