Leadership Opportunity: Head of Sustainable Water Resources Management Division

The Moulouya Hydraulic Basin Agency is seeking candidates for the position of Head of the Sustainable Water Resources Management Division. This leadership role requires extensive expertise in water resources management. The agency, established to develop and protect water resources in the Moulouya Basin, plays a key role in water security and sustainable development in the region.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The division head will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Planning and implementing sustainable water resources management strategies in the basin.
  • Monitoring water quality and quantity and ensuring optimal use.
  • Developing projects to protect water resources from pollution and depletion.
  • Coordinating with stakeholders to enhance cooperation in water management.
  • Preparing technical reports and providing recommendations to decision-makers.

Required Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • At least 10 years of experience in water resources management or related fields.
  • In-depth knowledge of water legislation and policies in Morocco.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to manage teams under pressure.
  • Proficiency in analysis and planning tools in the water sector.
  • Effective communication skills with various local and national entities.

About the Moulouya Hydraulic Basin Agency

The Moulouya Hydraulic Basin Agency is a public institution under the supervision of the Ministry of Equipment and Water. It aims for integrated management of water resources in the Moulouya Basin, including resource monitoring, implementation of hydraulic projects, and promoting awareness of water conservation. The Moulouya Basin is one of Morocco's major hydraulic basins, giving this position significant strategic importance.
