The Moroccan Agency for Nuclear and Radiological Safety and Security (AMSSNUR) is a public institution with legal personality and financial autonomy, under the authority of the Head of Government. Established by Law No. 142-12 on nuclear and radiological safety and security, the agency is tasked with regulating and controlling nuclear and radiological activities in the Kingdom, ensuring the protection of people, property, and the environment from radiological risks.

AMSSNUR plays a pivotal role in setting standards and measures for the safe use of nuclear energy and radiation sources. It also oversees licensing and inspection of nuclear and radiological facilities. In this way, the agency contributes to strengthening national security and promoting sustainable development in nuclear and radiological fields.

Position Details: Head of Safety Studies Service

The Moroccan Agency for Nuclear and Radiological Safety and Security has announced a call for applications to fill the position of Head of Safety Studies Service, a managerial role requiring high expertise and competence in nuclear and radiological safety. This position aims to lead and manage safety studies within the agency, and develop strategies and policies to enhance safety and security levels.

Eligibility Requirements

Candidates must meet the following conditions:

For internal candidates (civil servants)

  • Hold the grade of Administrator 2nd grade or State Engineer, or an equivalent grade in terms of salary index.
  • Hold a diploma or degree allowing access to the grade of Administrator 3rd grade or equivalent.
  • Have at least one (01) year of effective service as a civil servant within the agency.
  • Have professional experience of at least two (02) years within the agency's services in fields related to the position.

For internal candidates (contractual staff)

  • Hold at least a Master's degree or Engineering degree.
  • Have at least two (02) years of effective service as a contractual staff member within the agency.
  • Have professional experience of at least two (02) years within the agency's services in fields related to the position.

For external candidates

  • Hold a degree or diploma in fields related to the agency's missions (nuclear sciences, engineering, safety, security, etc.) allowing access to the grade of Administrator 2nd grade or equivalent in the civil service, local authorities, and public institutions.
  • Have professional experience of at least four (04) years in fields related to the agency's missions.

  • A sheet detailing the candidate's proposed program for managing and developing the position.
  • A certified copy of the national identity card.
  • A certified copy of the required diploma or degree, along with any continuing education certificates.
  • Certified copies of work certificates and documents proving the required professional experience.
  • Opinion of the immediate supervisor on the candidate's competence (for internal candidates).

Submission Procedure and Deadline

Application files must be submitted in five (05) copies in an envelope bearing the job title (Head of Safety Studies Service), against a receipt, to the registry office of the Moroccan Agency for Nuclear and Radiological Safety and Security, located at: Espace Patios, Building C, Ground Floor, Corner of Annakhil Boulevard and Mehdi Ben Barka Boulevard, Hay Riad - Rabat, no later than July 16, 2026, at 4:30 PM. Incomplete files or those received after the deadline will not be considered.

Selection Process

After the application deadline, a committee reviews the files and shortlists candidates, then another committee conducts selection interviews for eligible candidates. Results are published on the public employment portal, the agency's website (www.amssnur.org.ma), and at the agency's headquarters.
