Job Responsibilities

Reporting to the Reproduction and Breeding Manager, your main mission will be to contribute to the execution of the roadmap for genetic performance improvement by supervising all processes related to equine health and reproduction.

Key Activities

• Implement equine reproduction objectives on technical and administrative levels.
• Ensure compliance with reproduction procedures.
• Provide gynecological monitoring of mares at the Haras reproduction center.
• Ensure smooth running of the breeding season at the Haras and regional centers.
• Participate in resource allocation (qualified staff and stallions) within affiliated centers.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of documentary databases.
• Monitor supply and quality of reproduction-related stocks.
• Establish and monitor a sanitary prophylaxis schedule.
• Develop and monitor the feeding program.
• Establish and monitor a farriery program for hoof health.
• Provide curative treatments when needed.
• Supervise interventions of contracted veterinarians.
• Monitor supply and quality of stable management stocks.
• Establish and monitor a horse work program.
• Monitor reproduction indicators and generate periodic reports.
• Supervise, motivate, develop, and drive team performance.

Candidate Profile

• Veterinary degree with at least 5 to 10 years of proven experience, ideally in the equine field.
• Proficiency in equine reproduction management.
• Knowledge of reproduction and insemination procedures.
• Management of horse feeding and stallion stables.
• Team management and performance driving.
• Result-oriented.
• Rigor and organizational skills.
