The Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication - Department of Culture is opening applications for the position of Head of Material Heritage Inventory Service within the Heritage Directorate. Institutional and Regulatory Framework

This recruitment follows the provisions of the Royal Decree No. 1.58.008 issued on 4 Chaâbane 1377 corresponding to February 24, 1958, concerning the general statute of the civil service, as well as Decree No. 2.06.328 issued on 18 Choual 1427 corresponding to November 10, 2006, which defines the attributions and organization of the Ministry of Culture.

The Heritage Directorate plays a crucial role in safeguarding Morocco's cultural legacy, with responsibilities encompassing inventory, documentation, conservation, and promotion of both tangible and intangible cultural assets. As Head of Material Heritage Inventory Service, the successful candidate will oversee national efforts to document and register Morocco's material cultural heritage.

Eligibility Requirements and Desired Profile

Civil servants and contractual agents currently working within the Department of Culture of the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication may apply, provided they meet the conditions stipulated in Decree No. 2.11.681 issued on 28 Doul Hijja 1432 corresponding to November 25, 2011, regarding the appointment procedures for division heads and service heads in public administrations.

The job description attached to the ministerial decision specifies the required competencies and qualifications, in accordance with the job and competency reference framework of the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication - Department of Culture. Significant experience in cultural heritage management and documentation systems will be particularly valued.

  • Motivation letter in four copies explaining the reasons for applying
  • Curriculum vitae in four copies detailing qualifications and professional background
  • Comprehensive action plan in four copies outlining proposed methodology for developing the administrative unit
  • Direct supervisor's assessment of professional competencies in a sealed envelope
  • Digital version of the application file in PDF format on CD media

Application Timeline and Selection Process

Application files must be submitted, through the administrative hierarchy, to the Secretariat of the Directorate of Administrative and Financial Affairs, during regular administrative working hours applicable in public administrations, before February 18, 2026 at 4:30 PM, which is the final deadline for applications.

Following the review of applications, a list of candidates selected for interviews will be announced. The dates and locations for these selection interviews will be communicated later in accordance with regulatory provisions.
