Details of the Call for Applications for a Responsibility Position

The State Secretariat for Fisheries, under the Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, and Water and Forests, announces a call for applications to fill the position of Head of the Maritime Work Control and Maritime Investigations Service, vacant at the Directorate of Maritime Training, Seafarers, and Rescue in Rabat. This call is made in accordance with the provisions of Decree No. 2.11.681 of November 25, 2011, concerning the modalities for appointing heads of divisions and heads of services in public administrations.

Eligibility Conditions

The following may apply for this position:

  • Permanent civil servants and contractual agents under the State Secretariat for Fisheries who meet the following conditions:
    • Be classified at least in the grade of Inspector of the 2nd grade or State Engineer or in a grade with a similar index.
    • Hold at least a degree or diploma allowing access to the grade of Inspector of the 3rd grade or an equivalent grade.
    • Have at least two years of actual service as a permanent employee or three years for contractual agents, within the State Secretariat for Fisheries.
  • Permanent civil servants and contractual agents under the State Secretariat for Fisheries who are already performing the duties of head of service at the date of this announcement.

By way of exception, civil servants classified in the grade of Inspector of the 3rd grade or an equivalent grade may also apply, provided they have a seniority of at least 15 years of actual service in state administrations or territorial communities, including at least 4 years in the aforementioned grade.

How to Apply

Application files must be submitted exclusively by email to: candidatures@mpm.gov.ma, no later than July 7, 2026, the deadline for receiving applications. Any application received after this date or sent by any other means or not meeting the required conditions will not be considered.

Required Documents

  • An application letter including the approval of the administrative unit to which the candidate belongs, with the opinion of his/her direct superior on his/her competence.
  • A curriculum vitae including qualifications, a summary of professional career, and the tasks and functions performed.
  • A work program and methodology proposed by the candidate for managing, developing, and improving the performance of the service concerned (a printed form will be provided for completion).

Selection Process

After reviewing the application files by a designated committee, the list of candidates meeting the conditions will be announced for a selection interview before the committee. The date and place of the interview will be communicated later via:

  • The public services portal: www.service-public.ma
  • The website of the State Secretariat for Fisheries: www.mpm.gov.ma
  • The notice boards at the headquarters of the central administration and external services.

After the interviews, the committee will prepare a final report listing the selected candidates in order of merit. The results will be announced after approval by the Secretary of State.
