The Regional Project Execution Agency of Casablanca-Settat Region is seeking applications for the position of Geographic Information Systems Department Head. Position Overview

Based in Casablanca, this position reports directly to the Director of Territorial Intelligence. The role aims to strengthen the agency's capabilities in geographic information analysis and development to support strategic decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities

The GIS Department Head will be responsible for the following core functions:

• Establishing and developing the geographic information system tailored to agency requirements
• Managing geographic databases and ensuring their reliability and regular updates
• Developing tools and applications necessary for optimal geographic data utilization
• Producing maps and spatial analyses to support decision-making
• Assisting various departments in exploiting territorial data
• Contributing to territorial studies and diagnostic assessments
• Coordinating with institutional partners and specialized GIS service providers

Required Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

• State Engineering Diploma in Geographic Information Sciences or equivalent
• Minimum 7 years professional experience in GIS field
• At least 3 years experience in leadership positions
• Demonstrated technical rigor and methodological approach
• Strong analytical and synthesis capabilities
• Excellent communication and coordination skills

Organizational Context

The Regional Project Execution Agency was established following deliberation number 02/2016 of the Casablanca-Settat Regional Council on March 7, 2016. Operating under the supervision of the Regional Council President, the agency maintains an organizational structure that enables efficient execution of development projects.
