Marsa Maroc, the national leader in port terminal management, is launching a recruitment competition for 25 petroleum operator positions in the Grand Casablanca-Settat region. This contract-based role offers a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team within a strategic sector, working for a company with ambitious regional and international development goals.

Key Responsibilities of the Petroleum Operator

The petroleum operator joining Marsa Maroc will be responsible for executing precise and vital operational tasks that form the backbone of port terminal activities. These duties include:

  • Connecting and disconnecting hoses and loading/unloading arms for oil tankers.
  • Loading and unloading petroleum products and various goods, while strictly adhering to all safety, security, hygiene, occupational health, and environmental procedures.
  • Monitoring operational parameters and equipment functionality during operations.
  • Providing fresh water to vessels and performing other auxiliary service tasks.
  • Setting up access gangways for tankers and draining purge tanks.
  • Isolating circuits for products processed through the port and monitoring installations during shutdowns or maintenance interventions.
  • Conducting truck weighing operations and performing inspection rounds of facilities, primarily outside the port area.
  • Fully complying with all established procedures, instructions, and work protocols.
  • Reporting any customer complaints or observed discrepancies to direct management.
  • Preparing operational activity reports, filling out monitoring logs for each work shift, and entering operational data into dedicated applications.
  • Promptly reporting any malfunctions or incidents.

Required Qualifications and Conditions

To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a minimum of a Baccalaureate + 2 (Specialized Technician) diploma in one of the following fields: Electromechanics, Mechanics, Metal Construction, Industrial Maintenance, or Industrial Automation and Instrumentation.
  • Be under 31 years of age at the application deadline.
  • Be of Moroccan nationality.
  • Have a minimum professional experience of 12 months in the oil and gas sector, or 24 months in the fields of mechanics, electromechanics, hydraulics, or industrial maintenance. Internships are not considered professional experience.

Desired Technical and Behavioral Skills

Beyond academic qualifications, Marsa Maroc seeks candidates with the following competencies:

  • Strong technical knowledge in mechanics, electromechanics, hydraulics, and industrial maintenance.
  • Proven computer skills, particularly in using office software (word processing, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A pronounced team spirit and aptitude for active listening.
  • The ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in French.
  • An acceptable level of English proficiency.
