International Career Opportunity with MAP News Agency
The Maghreb Arabe Presse (MAP) news agency is opening applications for 16 leadership positions as part of its 2026 international mobility program. This initiative aligns with the agency's strategic choices aimed at strengthening its presence in targeted geographical regions worldwide.
Available Position Details
The announced positions include two main categories:
- International Pole Chief in Beijing (China) and Buenos Aires (Argentina)
- Journalist in 13 international cities including: Buenos Aires, Vienna, Kigali, Libreville, Abuja, Montreal, Beijing, Istanbul, Lisbon, Brussels, Santiago, Moscow, and London
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following conditions:
- For leadership positions (Pole Chief and Bureau Chief): minimum 10 years of service in the Central Editorial Office or in Regional/International Bureau/Pole
- For journalist position: minimum 6 years of service in the Central Editorial Office or in Regional/International Bureau/Pole
- No disciplinary measures during the past two years
- Demonstrated human and professional qualities including required competencies, attendance, performance, professional commitment, responsibility, autonomy, and initiative-taking

- A handwritten application letter with explicit hierarchical approval
- A detailed curriculum vitae outlining professional experience within and outside MAP
- A professional project explaining the candidate's vision for the position in terms of operation, interactions, strengths, and dynamization

Additional Information
Candidate selection falls under the designated Commission's responsibility, while final assignments are at the discretion of the Director General. The list of selected candidates will be posted at the agency's premises and on its website. Submission of application constitutes explicit and unconditional acceptance of all international mobility rules, including acceptance of any assignment decided by the Commission and acceptance of post-mandate assignment. Any refusal to join the new position is considered a definitive refusal of any future international mobility.
